Your escrow, dispute rights, milestone approvals, and payment guarantees exist only for activity that occurs within PayBild. Any communication, payment, or agreement made outside is not covered by anyone. Every verified Pro has passed a license check, background check, and insurance review. That verification stays on platform too.

When a homeowner funds a project, their money is held in escrow - not paid to the Pro until each milestone is approved. PayBild releases funds only after the homeowner confirms the work is done. If the project stops, the remaining escrow is returned. None of this exists for off-platform payments.
Every milestone, approval, photo, and message on PayBild creates a timestamped record. That record is what protects both parties if something goes wrong. Agreements made over text, email, or in person have no record in PayBild and cannot be referenced in a dispute.
If a homeowner and Pro disagree about work quality, scope, or payment, PayBild can step in - review the project record, milestone photos, and communications, and mediate a resolution. That process only works for activity that happened on PayBild. Off-platform disputes are between you and the other party, with no record and no mediator.
Every verified PayBild Pro has passed a license check, background check, and insurance review conducted independently by PayBild. That badge means something. It also means the Pro is operating under PayBild's terms - they agreed to work on platform, maintain their credentials, and follow the milestone process. A Pro who asks you to take work off platform is stepping outside those terms.
PayBild controls what each party sees and when. Homeowners are anonymous to Pros until a contract is signed - no name, no address, no contact info. Pros are identified only by their trade and badge until the estimate is accepted. That protection exists because the relationship is mediated by PayBild. Taking a conversation off platform immediately removes it.
PayBild cannot recover money paid outside of escrow. PayBild cannot mediate disputes about work agreed to outside the platform. PayBild cannot verify that a Pro's license or insurance was valid at the time of an off-platform agreement. If someone - Pro or homeowner - asks you to communicate outside PayBild, take payment outside PayBild, or sign an agreement outside PayBild, that is a signal to pause. It is not how PayBild works.
Every project on PayBild is backed by the PayBild Project Assurance Program. This means your escrow is held in a protected account, milestone releases require your approval, and if a project goes sideways PayBild steps in - not a third-party insurer, not a call center.
